Make sure you have a php 5.6 or 7.0 in your ubuntu package. PHP 7.1 is not supported yet by spicecrm.

1. download zip from [https://github.com/spicecrm/spicecrm](https://github.com/spicecrm/spicecrm)
2. unpack on your server
3. Set access rights as described in [http://support.sugarcrm.com/Knowledge\_Base/Platform\_Management/Required\_File\_System\_Permissions\_on\_Linux/index.html](http://support.sugarcrm.com/Knowledge_Base/Platform_Management/Required_File_System_Permissions_on_Linux/index.html)
4. Call yourinstallpath/spicecrm . Installation will start automatically. Ubuntu should have a MySQL database included.
5. Check KREST installation guide for urlrewriting [http://www.spicecrm.io/download/krest-installation-guide/](http://www.spicecrm.io/download/krest-installation-guide/)
6. Have a look at this post for elastic search [http://community.spicecrm.io/t/elasticsearch-not-working/46](http://community.spicecrm.io/t/elasticsearch-not-working/46)
