Install SpiceCRM

#1

Quick question guys,

New to the project and love the ideas here. Is there an install guide out there or at least a post of a how to get going off of the Github library?

We’re looking to use this on Ubuntu with Elasticsearch 5.4

Thanks

Make sure you have a php 5.6 or 7.0 in your ubuntu package. PHP 7.1 is not supported yet by spicecrm.

  1. download zip from https://github.com/spicecrm/spicecrm
  2. unpack on your server
  3. Set access rights as described in http://support.sugarcrm.com/Knowledge_Base/Platform_Management/Required_File_System_Permissions_on_Linux/index.html
  4. Call yourinstallpath/spicecrm . Installation will start automatically. Ubuntu should have a MySQL database included.
  5. Check KREST installation guide for urlrewriting http://www.spicecrm.io/download/krest-installation-guide/
  6. Have a look at this post for elastic search http://community.spicecrm.io/t/elasticsearch-not-working/46
